Rugmakers and Weavers who, whilst keeping alive the traditions and skills of their craft are prepared and encouraged to produce exciting and innovative work.

The Living Threads Group was formed in 1982 developing from-in-service training courses in textiles for Derbyshire County Council Teachers in Adult Education.
Since then, it has further developed having now a membership of nearly 70, including members from adjacent counties.
